In the wake of historic back-to-back hurricanes, Metro continues to do what we have done for 52 years: alleviate suffering, promote dignity, and instill self-sufficiency for at-risk and homeless families.

On top of our residential shelter and self-sufficiency programs, adult and children’s educational programs, hunger relief, and daily operations, we are magnifying our crisis resources and navigation services.

Need Help?

While we are not a replacement for FEMA or insurance, our Family Support Centers can help fill the gaps while people are in the recovery process:

  • Hot meals in more than 40 locations in collaboration with partners in areas of high need. Meal locations change daily during crisis response.
  • Bagged lunches
  • Hygiene Items
  • Clothing
  • Financial Assistance
  • Housing Assistance
  • Spiritual Support and Trauma Care

Want to Help?

We have volunteer opportunities on our main campuses and within our community-based programs in Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas Counties. Tasks include building food boxes, assisting with meal preparation in the kitchen, serving and delivering meals on site in our local neighborhoods. Individuals and groups can sign up for shifts online.
