Hurricane Dorian
Preparing for the storm at Metropolitan Ministries
We are prepared for Hurricane Dorian at our locations in Tampa and Holiday, Fla. Our families are safe and secure as staff continue to monitor the storm’s progress and work with local emergency management.
In addition to preparations on campus we are helping those in need find resources to stay safe during Hurricane Dorian. The Metro BrigAIDe mobile outreach team is serving at The Shop at Gracepoint (map) and Trinity Cafe (map) on Friday, Aug. 29, to let homeless individuals know where they can find shelter and resources.

Resources to help families cope in emergencies
It is important to talk to children about what they are seeing and hearing as we all prepare for Hurricane Dorian. Use these resources to start the conversation with your child and help them understand your family’s safety plan.
