FEATURED ON FOX 13: Metropolitan Ministries provides job training through Culinary Arts Program

At Metropolitan Ministries, we’re happy to support and are so proud of our incredible students as they embark on their journey towards self-sufficiency through our job training programs. Each skill they learn is a stepping stone towards a brighter, more independent future.

Our Culinary Arts Program has helped many students gain employment since its inception in 2013. We’ve teamed up with MONIN, one of our supportive sponsors of the Tampa Bay Food Fight, to provide students with hands-on experience to enhance their cooking skills through “Kitchens on a Mission.” In this program, students visit the Monin test kitchen and collaborate with their chefs and staff to create dishes with Monin products.

“I teach them about our products, how to taste them, how they work with food and the whole array and flavor variety that we have,” Jacob Sturm, Innovation Chef at Monin, said.
