PASCO OUTREACH CENTER
Metropolitan Ministries provides essential services such as food and shelter assistance to families in financial distress.
It is our desire to strengthen the community by helping families get back on their feet, instilling self-sufficiency and hope. This is accomplished by case management through a continuum of care.
EVALUATION AND EMERGENCY RELIEF
The staff at Metropolitan Ministries will listen to the concerns of those who walk through our doors. We will evaluate needs and decide how to best connect families to the appropriate community resources. We are prepared to give emergency food provisions and clothing to persons in distress.
APPLICATION FOR STATE ASSISTANCE
Metropolitan Ministries is a Community Partner of the Florida Department of Children and Families ACCESS program. ACCESS (Automated Community Connection to Economic Self-Sufficiency) is an internet-based way to apply for food stamps/EBT, Medicaid, and cash assistance. Our trained staff and volunteers can assist with the application process.
HOUSING ASSISTANCE
Metropolitan Ministries is currently planning the construction of 10-12 small apartments for families who need emergency short-term housing. These families will be case-managed by a social worker from the time they move in and establish stability, throughout their stay, and when they move into transitional housing managed by Metropolitan Ministries or another cooperative organization.
ALWAYS: SPIRITUAL NOURSHIMENT AND HOPE
Food, shelter, and clothing meet just a portion of a person's needs. Metropolitan Ministries is always willing to meet the spiritual needs of the people who come to us. We offer individual counseling and prayer time, worship services, and small group ministries. We strive to share the love of Christ, care with dignity, and the gift of hope
