E. EARL JETER, JR. VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD
E. Earl Jeter, Jr. was a postal carrier by profession, a member of Hyde Park United Methodist Church, and a faithful servant to the hungry and homeless through 18 years of tireless service at the Ministries. Earl served as a member of the Board of Directors, three years as president, and was the Board’s honorary lifetime member. In memory of his outstanding spirit and endless hours of service, Metropolitan Ministries instituted the E. Earl Jeter, Jr. Volunteer of the Year Award given annually to an individual whose volunteer work reminds us of the lesson of Earl’s service.
